About Mrs. Ouimet
This is my 20th year practicing speech-language pathology, and my 13th year working in Pickerington Local Schools. I enjoy living and working in this wonderful community with my husband (also a Pickerington teacher) and our two sons.
Education
B.S.Ed. Miami University in speech pathology and audiology, minor in special education
M.A. Northern Illinois University in speech-language pathology
Additional graduate coursework from University of Dayton, Bowling Green State University, University of LaVerne, and North Dakota State University in the following areas: autism, Asperger's Syndrome, assistive technology and augmentative communication, sensory processing, stuttering, Response to Intervention (RtI), vocabulary, English language learners, gifted students, brain-based and mindfulness teaching techniques, adolescent psychology, and counseling.
Additional Information
Current Ohio Board of Speech-Language Pathology license, Certificate of Clinical Competence from American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, and Ohio Department of Education Pupil Services license in school speech-language pathology
